Learning to Love Yourself
February 6, 2019
Loving yourself is not always easy. Sometimes all we can see is our faults while blaming ourselves when things go wrong. Trying to escape our internal critic can be difficult, but it is necessary. Some circumstances make our world shift which throws us off balance. It is crucial at that time not to blame others for what happened, but instead recognize what happened or is happening. Digest the situation.
It’s not always easy to see it when things are spinning out of control. Sometimes we must remove ourselves from the situation to see the bigger picture. Stepping away is not easy; however necessary to look within and to get an analysis of what is exactly going on.
People say, “God will only give us what we can handle.” Hardship is a real test of our strength and will. It is in difficulty that we have to dig deep and push through to get to the other side. Looking inward and practicing self-love is needed to give love. Self-love isn’t selfish; self-love is self-healing. Healing is peaceful while selfishness is destructive. Healing is humble, gentle, kind and compassionate.
